TrustEat is a French company, based in Lille. We are focused on improving traceability in cold chain monitoring for the food sector.
TrustEat has developed a SaaS platform to prevent cold chain breaks, based on IoT sensors powered by Sigfox 0G technology.
2. What problem does your solution solve?
The entire food industry needs to manage the major constraint of securing the cold chain.
However, in a lot of small/medium (and even large) businesses, monitoring is only carried out by an operator who delivers a daily report on whether the frigorific material maintaining the temperature is working correctly.
Obviously, this process is not always accurate, as the operator often notes “what they want to”, and there is missing information. For example, overnight data may not be collected.
Finally, even when the fridges, freezer… etc are monitored, if the alarm goes off every time someone opens a door (because air temperature rises fast), people will start to ignore it.
3. What kind of ROI does your solution offer to customers?
TrustEat is a SaaS service, which clients can easily install directly, to prevent cold chain breaks.
In an average restaurant (for example), losses due to cold chain breaks are usually 1200€/year. And at scale, 35% of food poisoning is due to cold chain breaks.
Using smart technology to prevent the problems, TrustEat:
– Automatizes monitoring and control that is poorly done by operators, improving productivity and sanitary quality
– Avoids food losses, that are environmentally unacceptable and economically disadvantageous

5. What’s next for TrustEat?
Early next year, we’re launching our first version of predictive maintenance: our data analysis enables us to prevent fridge breakdown up to two weeks before in advance.
