SIGFOX IS THRILLED TO JOIN FORCES WITH AIRBUS BIZLAB TO PROMOTE PROJECTS THAT DEVELOP SOLUTIONS IN THE FIELDS OF AEROSPACE THROUGHOUT THE USE IOT


The agreement between Sigfox and the Airbus accelerator comprises the four-international headquarters of the latter: Madrid, Toulouse, Hamburg and Bangalore.

This matches with the launch of the Airbus BizLab 2019 program, 5th season for the accelerator so far which will begin next October. The two partners add the know-how acquired in the parallel experiences with entrepreneurship programs, as well as synergies in those startups with complementary profiles.

Startups, small technology-based companies and company employees with innovative ideas (intrapreneurs) who want to develop their projects and transform them into profitable businesses, both for them and for the corporation, can participate.

The accelerator offers a dedicated space, where entrepreneurs can work on their projects and ideas thanks to the support of selected coaches and mentors, weekly learning sessions, access to a space to create prototypes and, also, a Demo Day with people who belong to Airbus, partners, and venture capitalists. Bizlab also provide access to tools and knowledge and thus access to the entire Airbus network (experts, mentors and contacts) to create startups that generate business with the company so that internal projects are incorporated into the company’s structure.

WHAT IS THE PROGRAM ABOUT?

It is a 6-month program that is divided into 3 phases:

  • First phase: analysis of the business interest, customer acquisition and market analysi
  • Second phase: technical analysis of proposals.
  • Third phase: business model analysis to facilitate startups and intrapreneurs collaboration with Airbus business lines.
