Program Manager

The Program Manager works closely with a variety of stakeholders, including clients, vendors, contractors. He / she typically operates across multiple Sigfox functions, (BU, Engineering, Marketing, Coms, HR, Adoption, Region, Eco-System, etc….), geographies, technologies and subjects.

 

 

The Program Manager works closely with a variety of stakeholders, including clients, vendors, contractors. He / she typically operates across multiple Sigfox functions, (BU, Engineering, Marketing, Coms, HR, Adoption, Region, Eco-System, etc….), geographies, technologies and subjects.

He / she is responsible for the management of multiple related projects, which are directed toward a common objective. The Program Manager ensures that client and stakeholder expectations are aligned with the agreed scope and deliverables of the program of works.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

The Program Manager accountable for the management of one or multiple programs on-scope, on-time, on-budget and on-quality. As such he follows a Program Management methodology to :

 

  • Ensure programme delivery – He / she is responsible for assisting with the determining and coordinating of the sharing of resources among their constituent projects to the overall benefit of the programme. The main daily responsibility of the Program Manager is the co-ordination of the activities of the project teams through task delegation, resource assignment and programme management. He or she takes ownership of the full execution of projects in their environment. This individual takes ownership of the project completion and transition to the Business Owner and “run mode” for business as usual activities.
    The individual adheres to and ensures that the project delivers the solution in line with the agreed scope, remains within budget, is delivered on time, while achieving quality criteria and maintaining client and stakeholder satisfaction.
    Within the programme, he / she works with the Business Owner to manage the benefits realisation expected from the program, particularly on the outcomes and not just the outputs. The individual is competent in project change management and demonstrates excellent team leadership, motivation ability and business acumen. The individual has a good understanding of the project life cycle and takes responsibility for all aspects of the full life-cycle of the assigned projects.

 

  • Project team management – Leadership extends from ability to lead project teams to being able to lead projects and project managers and/or technical resources. The individual is responsible for executing the project processes and supporting systems to ensure successful programme delivery and closure.
    The Program Manager manages any high level program or project escalation. Internal Program Managers are responsible for benefits realization derived from the program and they take responsibility for providing input to proposals and baselines for complex program.
    He / she partners with the organisation to ensure the right skills set is assigned to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

 

  • Stakeholder management – He / she takes final responsibility for client (the Business Owner) and stakeholder satisfaction and ensure that the Program team displays the right level of client and stakeholder engagement. The individual will be required to PMO & Programs to clients (Business Owners) and stakeholders.

 

KEY SKILLS 

  • Advanced Degree or relevant programme management qualification
  • PMP Certification
  • PgMP Certification advantageous
  • 12 – 15 years' working experience
  • At least 10 years’ programme management experience of which 4 – 5 years’ must have been in a senior PM or Programme Management role, preferably multi- national technology services environment
  • Proven client engagement experience
  • Experience managing expectations when balancing alternatives against business and financial constraints
