Sigfox Extension Module is Available for Cross Domain Development Kit (XDK) From Bosch Connected Devices and Solutions

At Sigfox World IoT Expo, Sigfox today announced that it has reached a key milestone in its global partnership with Bosch Connected Devices and Solutions. Sigfox extension module is now available for the Cross Domain Development Kit XDK from Bosch.

The Sigfox extension module — designed by Bosch Connected Devices and Solutions and Sigfox, and produced by Innocomm —will enable IoT customers to rapidly prototype new sensor-based IoT devices and applications for industry 4.0.

“Low power wide area networks are an important building-block in IoT solutions. In combination with our smart sensors – like the XDK – it is now possible for the market to develop and test new wireless use cases. We really like the fruitful cooperation with Sigfox on this topic.”

— Markus Lang, CEO of Bosch Connected Devices and Solutions GmbH.

Vincent Sabot, Sigfox VP Europe, said, “We’re very excited. Putting our technology in the hands of Bosch Connected Devices and Solutions, its partners and developers is a huge step toward the creation of the intelligent, efficient, ubiquitous IoT networks that will make the future such an exciting place to live, work, and do business. Together, we will make Industry 4.0 a reality.”

The Sigfox extension module will be commercially available worldwide beginning of 2018, with its exclusive preview at the Conrad booth, at the Sigfox World IoT Expo, in Prague on 25th – 26th September 2017.
