Director of Industrialisation & PMO

The Director of Industrialization & PMO is accountable for supporting and contributing to the execution strategy, the positioning, organisation, operations and performance of the Industrialisation as a value-added business function and clearly defines performance and service level metrics.

 

 

The Director of Industrialization & PMO is accountable for supporting and contributing to the execution strategy, the positioning, organisation, operations and performance of the Industrialisation as a value-added business function and clearly defines performance and service level metrics.

The main responsibility of the Director of Industrialization & PMO is to formulate and implement a strategy and organisational capability that drives the Supply Chain of Products; the Supply Chain of Services and the Supply Chain of Programs. In so doing, he/she provides guidance on leveraging management capabilities to effectively deliver value to customers and illustrate growth for Sigfox.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 

The Director of Industrialization & PMO is accountable for management and industrialisation of all internal programs, of the supply chain for the delivery of Sigfox hardware and the supply chain for the delivery of Sigfox services. As such, he / she will lead the following 3 functions:

 

Program Management Office (PMO) – In the PMO capacity, he / she is accountable for driving the PMO organisation that is to perform the delivery of program on-scope (in line with the agreed program SOW – Scope of Work); on-budget (in line with the agreed program budget); on-time (in line with the agreed program roadmap). As such, he / she drives the following activities:

  • Program Portfolio Management
  • Data management and reporting
  • Programme and project reviews
  • Project management practices 
  • Project coordination
     

Supply Chain Product (SCP) - In the SCH capacity, he / she is accountable for driving the Supply Chain Product organisation that is to perform the order taking, manufacturing and shipping of our equipment to Sigfox Operators: on-scope (in line with the agreed BOM); on-budget (in line with the agreed PO & DA); on-time (in line with the agreed forecast). As such, he / she drives the following activities

  • Logistic Management
  • Sales admin
  • Production Management
  • ERP management
  • RMA/ Process / KPI
  • Test bench specification and deployment

 

Supply Chain Services (SCS) – In the SCS capacity, he / she is accountable for driving the Supply Chain Services organisation that is to perform the delivery of service contract on-boarding: on-scope (in line with the agreed contract SOW – Scope of Work); on-budget (in line with the agreed contract P&L); on-time (in line with the agreed contract starting date). As such, he / she drives the following activities

  • Transition & Planning
  • Service Activation
  • Service Transition

 

People management - This individual acts as people manager by partnering with the organisation to attract the right talent. He/she ensures that the employees reporting to him/her are engaged and understand their career opportunities, by taking responsibility for the development and training of their team members. This individual ensures that his/her team is rewarded and remunerated according to their performance. The director of Industrialization & PMO ensures that the team has access to the relevant tools and have the general means to perform their role.

 

Behavioural Skills - As corporate citizens he/she is good team players and exhibits the required level of management skills required from senior level managers. He or she practices two-way communication and listens to understands other’s point of view.

 

KEY SKILLS 

  • Advanced Commercial or Engineering Degree
  • MBA preferred
  • At least 15 years’ experience within a large scale (preferably multi-national) technology services environment across a range of services
  • Knowledge and understanding of IT industry environment and business needs Required to have a working knowledge of ITIL with preference to executing in the environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of IT industry environment and business needs
  • Vision, focus and energy to push boundaries and accelerate the achievement of near and longer term strategic objectives
  • A strong business and commercial orientation
  • Strong big picture vision as well as the ability to get to the detail and be able to interpret that into different levels in the organisation
  • Strong operational management skills with the ability to establish programs
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to present information clearly and succinctly
