For some 15 years Ludovic LE MOAN has nurtured the idea of bringing the Internet of Things to life. In 2000 he created Anyware Technologies, giving his client’s a first experience of the Internet of Things by connecting objects with high added value. However, the total cost of the solution proved to be too high to be extended to all types of objects and applications.
This market really only accounted for a few % of M2M and Internet of Things real potential.
In 2010, a meeting with Christophe Fourtet made his dreams possible. A recognised expert in the field of radio communications, Christophe was the inventor of a disruptive technology designed to transmit information across very large distances using minimum energy and at minimum cost.
The two men along with Marc Vertes, an expert in critical systems, came together to set up a company and create the foundations for a low bandwidth cellular network for communicating objects.
In 2010, the company successfully secured venture capital for their project, enabling them to develop the network infrastructure and recruit 25 experts in the fields of signal processing, scalable information systems architecture, hardware and radio design.
